Before the Renaissance, artists were less prone to sign their works. It seems to be a logical progression of pride for the created to slowly supplant their Creator by degrees. One of those imperceptable shifts being to interrupt worship, to cast our eyes on each other, and forget the true glory of our Maker.

Just wanted to say thanks for the comment on the poetry board (I'm glad to see someone who reads stuff there will also comment). I appreciate the compliment too, at least I took the Coldplay comment as a compliment, so I'll just go on thinking it was intended as such. I haven't listened to them in a while and it will probably have to waith since this weekend is reserved for a little time with Dylan.
